10e The annual Walk to Overcome Depression event will be held on Saturday, May 27 at the Grace Hartman Amphitheater in Bell Park in Greater Sudbury. “Overcome Depression” is a national initiative of the Canadian Mood Disorders Society. Lindsey Chamberlain of the Northern Initiative for Social Action (NISA), was in the studio to talk about the importance of this fundraising event for the organization.

The event helps a lot (…) with the conversation, watching people share their stories and talk about mental health experiences, we reduce (stigma). In addition, it provides us with levies that support the services and programs offered by NISA. »

This year’s fundraising goal is $50,000, with proceeds going directly to the Northern Initiative for Social Action.
