The goal: naturally relieve sore throat
Forget the throat! Find a clear voice, the pleasure of eating and no more pain.
What are the symptoms of a sore throat?
Swollen neck lymph nodes and tonsils, difficulty swallowing, loss of voice, sore throat, red or covered with white spots, sometimes a low fever
Soothe a sore throat with three very effective plants: herbal tea, infusion
This is the first reflex that appears when we face the very beginning of an infection. Its effectiveness in strengthening the immune system has been sufficiently proven. It is used in the form of drops (in a complete suspension of fresh plants, extract of fresh plants or mother tincture) because tests have shown that direct contact with mucous membranes enhances its effect in cases of angina pectoris or pharyngitis (Annals of Internal Medicine, December 2010). 20 drops 3 times a day, gradually discontinue after healing.
Disinfects and soothes inflammation. As an herbal tea: 1.5 g of leaves in a large glass of boiling water, cover for 10 minutes, strain and drink 2 to 3 times a day or use as a gargle. Sage can also be found in tinctures, liquid extracts, soothing mouthwashes, and even sprays that combine it with echinacea.
It is also a very good disinfectant: it neutralizes a large number of viruses and bacteria. A spoonful of thyme leaves per cup of boiling water. Cover and let it infuse for 15 minutes. Drink 2 cups daily. You can, of course, mix thyme and sage into the preparation.

Aromatherapy, honey, propolis and coarse salt to soothe a sore throat
Many essential oils (EOs) have bactericidal, antiseptic and antiviral effects. Our favorites for sore throats: lemon oil and tea tree oil. One drop of each in a teaspoon of honey or on a neutral tablet (from the pharmacy), let dissolve under the tongue 3 times a day.
Honey soothes and disinfects the mucous membranes. However, another preparation from the beehive, propolis, is even more effective for speeding up healing: in the form of oral spray, syrup, chewing gum, lozenges, etc.
This rare mineral stimulates our white blood cells and reduces the reproductive capacity of viruses. To reach the recommended 12 mg per day, you need to eat oysters and other seafood frequently, as well as red meat. That’s why most of us need food supplements. You can take up to 25 mg of zinc per day to fight an infectious episode. However, it is not recommended to consume such doses for a long time (an excess of zinc can cause a deficiency of copper, another trace element known to be anti-infective).
Well-chosen granules can eliminate a sore throat in a few hours. Choose Mercurius solubilis 9 CH when you are facing a sore throat or a bright red throat that is drooling a lot. Prefer Apis mellifica 5 CH if the burning pain is relieved by iced drinks, and Phytolacca 9 CH for influenza or if the pain returns to the ears. For all of these medications, start with 5 granules 3 times a day and taper off as improvement progresses.
